My Story

Hi, welcome! My name is Demi Dawkins, a British abstract artist born 1997.

Art has always been my therapy. Growing up undiagnosed with ADHD and Autism, I often felt misunderstood and struggled to find ways to express myself. During the Covid-19 lockdown, life became even more overwhelming, and I moved in with my aunt and uncle to find some peace. My uncle encouraged me to start painting again and even built me an easel from spare wood so I could create freely.

It was during those challenging times that I rediscovered my passion for art. Having not painted since I was a young girl, I found refuge and healing in abstract expressionism. What began as an emotional outlet grew into something far bigger—a way to communicate my journey of transformation and connect with others.

My work is inspired by my journey of faith, life experiences, soul-stirring music, and a passion for interior design. Each piece blends texture and rich tones to complement both modern and traditional spaces, telling a story of self-discovery, transformation, and growth.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I hope you enjoy my works!
